Biographies Index Plus
More than 46,000 biographies and obituaries and more than 20,000 photographs. Many of the articles come from H.W. Wilson's comprehensive reference tools such as Current Biography and the World Author Series.
The biographies are searchable by name, profession, title, place of origin, gender, race/ethnicity and dates.

This database is a first stop index tool for learning where to look for biographical material on people from all time periods, geographical locations and fields of endeavor. Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps
A searchable interface for locating historical maps of Ohio towns and cities. These maps were digitized from micofilm copies of more than 40,035 maps created from 1876 to 1970 by the The Sanborn Insurance Company. Originally used for fire insurance records, these detailed maps identify individual buildings on each block.
