Local Haunts
Memorial Hall – Haunted by the spirit of a former custodian who died
after a fall in the theater.
Victoria Theater – Said to be haunted by two spirits. One is of an
actress who mysteriously disappeared during a performance, the other of
a young woman who was assaulted in one of the boxes.
Sinclair Community College – Students and staff have reported feeling a
hand grab them while walking through Blair Hall. There are also reports
of elevators opening and closing and doors slamming on their own. A
spirit dubbed “Mr. Joshua” has been reported in Building 13.
Beaver Creek State Park – Several spirits haunt the locks of the old
canal system that runs through the park. The spirit of a young woman
who died after her fiancé failed to show up for the wedding still
wanders the old town of Spruceville.
Trivia
Abracadabra is actually part of an ancient spell word from Biblical
times, roughly meaning “Be gone!”.
